When the problem happens again manually take an nsd bye running nsd.exe from the Domino Program Directory...
e.g.
c:\domino> nsd.exe
Quit the Domino Server
Send the nsd log file generated (Wll be located in IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT directory) and the debug outfile (c:\tmp\notes.log) into Lotus support for analysis. They should be able to tell you what it was going on.
